We are excited to announce a significant enhancement to our employee benefits package at the Y WA.
Effective from 1 June, 2024, we will be offering two weeks of Paid Parental Leave to all eligible staff upon application. The Executive Leadership Team has also approved payment for all eligible staff currently in their first year of Parental Leave, or who have returned from parental leave in the past 12 months. Eligible employees have been sent a letter confirming this.
At the Y WA, we recognise the importance of supporting our employees during pivotal moments in their lives. Our new Parental Leave Policy is a testament to our dedication to cultivating a workplace where our people feel valued, supported, and empowered to flourish.

The decision to implement this new benefit also addresses feedback received in last year’s employee experience survey, where many expressed a desire for increased workplace flexibility and improved employee benefits. This new paid parental leave policy is just one step forward in meeting those needs.
